Sundays ARE Fun days!

*I hope I haven’t used that posting title before:P

Yesterday was a very laid back kind of days. It usually is for my husband and I. Its the ONE day  get to spend ALL day together. Its the ONE day we DO NOT work. Its the ONE day we could relax… or perhaps adventure… Sundays are our FUN days! So this we did just about that… we had fun, we relaxed, and we adventured out.

My day started as I woke up from sleeping in. My husband had been out since early morning shooting some guns at the Gun Range on Post with his friend. So I chilled out, did about my daily goings like, brushing my teeth, showering, cleaning up, starting/finishing laundry (we pile to wash on weekends only), and of course document my day through photos (35mm, bringing it back, baby!) and video:) That’s just like me to do so. He brought home Popeye’s for lunch, which was DELICIOUS! We watched a bit of Pawn Stars: Season 2, and then the real work began… For myself at least.

So if you don’t keep up with my Twitter account, I am constantly on a “Home Improvement” kind of mode. I just love Interior Design and every chance I get to make some adjustments to our abode makes me all the happy LOL. In this case, it was waiting for the cabinet we wanted to go on sale (which it finally did last week, total score!), purchasing it, and getting the down time to assemble it. I have a great knack for assembly, which is why I assembled it myself. It wasn’t hard at all and the whole piece itself seems more elegant and more sturdy than I thought it was going to be. In all honesty, I had thought that this new piece of furniture was going to do its job and be cheap BECAUSE it was cheap. But that’s not the case. It looks very fitting, and I am proud of the hard work I did. Its just how I envisioned it to be. The whole decor isn’t quite complete but I got the main goal out of the way, which was an entryway console that can also function to hide shoes. Its just a cabinet BUT it works!!!

And in short my husband and I had dinner at Applebee’s. A place we haven’t been to eat at in forever because there are way better places to eat LOL We headed to B&N. At the end of the night we started a mini “bookclub” for just ourselves lol. He bought me a book called Wreck This Journal a couple weeks back and we decided to do the challenge together. I bought him his and we started on it… I’m quite excited how it will turn out! Anyone wanna join us??
